Professional Liability Insurance

The professional responsibilities of a practicing Coaching Psychologist include ensuring that they have appropriate third party liability insurance cover for the work in which they are engaged.  This may be cover provided through their employer, or insurance cover which they have themselves taken out, or both.  The Society for Coaching Psychology expects that its Members, and recommends that other practicing Coaching Psychologists, ensure that they have such insurance cover.

For members of SCP who practice any of the following; Coaching Psychology and satisfy the following criteria, cover is available at the premiums shown in the table.

• You are an Individual (or a sole trader Limited Company with a turnover of less than £100,000)

• You have not had previous insurance declined nor has an insurer refused to renew or terminated any liability insurance.

• There have been no liability claims made against you.

• You are not aware of any circumstances which may give rise to a claim against you.

• You are practising from a UK base

• You agree to accept the Insurer's standard form of policy and endorsements for this insurance

• You are appropriately qualified to practise (or on an approved training course leading to a recognised relevant qualification)
