(a) Fellowship shall be awarded to those persons who in the opinion of the Council of the Society merit such recognition due to their outstanding contribution to the theory and/or practice of coaching psychology, and/or to the Society, or who are otherwise considered suitable.  Fellowships are at the invitation of the Council. The award of Fellowship to be on the basis of the adoption of a formal resolution at a meeting of the Council of the Society. A Fellow should be entitled to use the post-nominal letters FSCP. If a Fellow is an Accredited or Certified Coaching Psychologist, then they are entitled to use the initials FSCP Accred.

(b) Accredited Members: Persons who hold a recognised degree in psychology and a coaching psychology qualification and/or by virtue of their recognised degree in psychology, experience and continuing professional development, satisfy the Council that they possess an understanding of the principles of coaching psychology and are competent to undertake its practice. Admission to the Society entitles a Member to use the post-nominal letters MSCP Accred. They can describe themselves as an Accredited or Certified Coaching Psychologist or another designation approved by The Council.

(c) Members: Persons who hold a recognised degree in psychology and are concurrently Chartered Psychologists or hold an equivalent professional status with  a recognised National Register for psychologists in their state or country. Admission to the Society entitles a Member to use the post-nominal letters MSCP.

(d) Graduate Members: Persons who hold a recognised psychology degree. This is not a professional grade. Admission to the Society entitles a Graduate Member to use the post-nominal letters GradMSCP. Graduate Members in Training as Coaching Psychologists can state this in their Curriculum Vitae, Resume or Biography.

(e) Corporate Members: Organisations, professional bodies or groups actually engaged in or associated with coaching psychology.  Corporate Members shall be entitled to receive notice of and be represented at meetings of the Society.  A Corporate Member may by writing under the hand of the Secretary or other duly authorised officer, appoint one representative to vote at meetings of the Society.  The representative appointed shall be subject to the same conditions governing each event as may be applicable to members.

Corporate Members shall be entitled to all the ordinary facilities of the Society.

(f) Honorary Life Members/Honorary Life Fellows: An honorary life membership/ fellowship may, in exceptional circumstances, be conferred by resolution at a Council meeting.

(g) Retired Members: a reduced subscription enables members to continue their contact with the Society after retirement.

(h) Affiliate Membership: Individuals of good standing with a general interest in coaching psychology or students attending psychology courses can be accepted as affiliate members with no voting rights nor post-nominal letters. They should not describe  themselves as coaching psychologists.

Entry criteria for the grades of membership in clauses (a) to (h) above can be revised by The Council. Grades of membership may only be made available at a time considered appropriate by The Council. The Council can decide to suspend a grade of membership as and when necessary.

No individual member, corporate member, group or branch shall take any public action or make any public announcement in the name of the Society or otherwise do anything directly or indirectly to represent that any proposal, action or statement of fact or opinion has the approval of the Society; the Council alone may make announcements and publications in the name of the Society.  However, nominated officers may speak on behalf of or represent the Society where appropriate.
